In this workshop for PYT Members aged 13-18 you'll be on your feet from the start getting to grips with the technical demands of working as an actor for film and TV.
In this workshop you'll be on your feet from the start getting to grips with the technical demands of working as an actor for film and TV. Performing a short film script with a scene partner, taking direction, and working across multiple takes just like a real production. You'll get hands-on time with filming equipment, learn the on-set jargon and process that every screen actor needs to know, and come away understanding exactly what directors and crew expect from the performers they work with. This will be a really fun few hours of trying out your acting skills in an exciting brand new medium! Louise is a professional Actor with over a decade’s worth of experience in the industry in both Scotland and London - credits include Feature Film The Outrun, Series Regular in BBC’s River City 2016 - 2019, Diary of a Madman Traverse & Gate Theatre, Iphigenia Quartet at the Gate Theatre. Louise has also taught acting for stage and screen at various UK drama schools including Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Italia Conti and Fourth Monkey. She also runs her own acting coaching for drama school auditions on a 1:1 basis. Note - A £10 deposit is required to secure your place on the masterclass.
