JD Henshaw is a multi-award-winning theatre maker, playwright, producer, and venue director. He has worked in theatre and events for over twenty years, curating and operating Sweet Productions and Sweet Venues for well over a decade. He creates artist spaces year-round in Brighton and Dundee. As a producer, he has brought work from all over the world to Brighton and the UK, as well as producing UK artists on national and international tours, with shows active across the world. He chaired the Association of Independent Venue Producers as part of the Edinburgh Fringe for 12 years, acted as a board member for Brighton Fringe, and is the founder and artistic director of Dundee Fringe, SweetFest, Brighton HorrorFest, and Once&Future - a new festival celebrating folkloric tradition and performance. JD continues to write and direct theatre, with his critically-acclaimed Jekyll & Hyde: A One-Woman Show currently touring the world.
