Launched in October 2024, The Creative Hub is a membership organisation for freelancers working in theatre and media. From its home at Perth Theatre, The Creative Hub links, connects, nourishes, and develops professional creatives across Scotland, supporting their work and their wellbeing.
The Creative Hub is conceived and run by theatre producer, playwright and actor Lisa Nicoll in partnership with Perth Theatre. Lisa has worked for the last 15 years with companies such as The Tron Theatre, Perth Theatre, Creative Scotland, Knights Theatre, Playwrights Studio, The Edinburgh International Book Festival and BBC Radio, and has set up new writing company In Motion Theatre.
Creative freelancers are able to access a range of benefits including:

The Creative Hub membership aimed at professional actors, directors, writers, producers, and freelance artists, is £150 annually and payment plans are available.
This year we are also introducing a final year Student Membership at £50 and a Graduate Membership at £112.50 (25% off).
Membership can be paid in full via the website or directly through box office. We are also offering the option of paying monthly via standing order. Should this be of interest, please contact Ticketing Services directly for further details.

This day will be hosted by Sarah- Marie Mooney(Director of June Scratch Night), Lisa Nicoll and Corin Beattie of Perth Theatre.
The auditions will be set up in workshop style to create an even playing field for all who would like to take part in the paid scratch night opportunities for actors.
2 hour timeslots will be allocated and material provided before.
This opportunity is available to members who are professional actors and are signed up and joined as Creative Hub Members

Today is an opportunity to bring together actors, writers and directors and hear excerpts of work that individuals would like to share and hear for future life whether new or established, large or small. Come along as a performer to read, a writer to share or a director to facilitate
The aim is to start to build for a wider performance of work. Travel & lunch will be provided for members who take part. Lisa will facilitate the day.

Based on the scripts developed in our Script Development Days Hub members have an opportunity to record some short excerpts of their work with hub actors.

The material will be edited and available for any voice reel material and will also extracts will be hosted on Spotify.
