Collaborative Approaches to Text and Movement
Sarah Marie Mooney
Are you interested in exploring ways of creating work collaboratively? This practical workshop will introduce you to exercises for finding stimuli, experimenting with ideas, and developing new work as a group. This is a chance to try out collaborative approaches to text and movement which you can bring into your future theatre-making.
Sarah is a director and dramaturg from Renfrewshire. She has worked for organisations including Pitlochry Festival Theatre (assistant director), Playwrights’ Studio Scotland (trainee dramaturg), Framework Theatre (director) and Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting (reader). She is a co-founder of Play Full Theatre which produces scratch nights and opportunities for emerging artists. Her own work is created collaboratively through group devising and collaborative co-writing, with a focus on intersectional feminist storytelling and creative access. She is a board member of disability-led Birds of Paradise Theatre Company, support team member for Lung Ha Theatre Company and part-time communications manager for Disability Arts Online.
