Playing with Shakespeare 13-18yrs with Andy McGregor - PYT 60

Nobody has created characters and stories as vivid and fun to perform as William Shakespeare. In this high energy day, you’ll find yourself exploring his texts, getting to grips with his language and getting on your feet to bring some of the greatest plays ever written to life. An introductory day to the exciting world of Shakespeare.

Andy McGregor is a director, writer, and composer, and the artistic director of Sleeping Warrior theatre company (To Save the Sea, Battery Park, Spuds). Trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland - where he regularly directs their Shakespearean shows, his work spans major Scottish organisations. He has created multiple shows for A Play a Pie and a Pint, including Crocodile Rock (broadcast on the BBC), and has written and composed for the National Theatre of Scotland. He is also a regular creator of popular family shows for the Citizens Theatre and writes pantos performed around the country.
